Even if you’re not Irish, this is an easy and delicious Irish Soda Bread recipe you will enjoy. Recipe makes 16 slices – 2 points per slice. To get somewhat even slices, I cut these in wedges, like you would a pizza pie. I cut the loaf in half, then half again. For each quarter, I sliced those in half, and then half again too. So you end up with 16 bread wedges. Ingredients
- 2 cups Bisquick (Heart Healthy version in the white box)
- 1 cup non-fat greek yogurt
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking SODA
- 1 tbsp sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 375
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
Mix the Bisquick, baking SODA and sugar in a bowl
Add egg and yogurt, mix with a spoon or spatula to combine
Fold the dough a few times and form into a round loaf shape (see video)
Score the dough in a cross shape
Place it on the baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes
Wait 30 minutes before slicing
