Low-Point Cheesy Baked Cabbage Steaks

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 1 medium green cabbage
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional, for roasting)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Garlic powder (or fresh minced garlic)
  • Paprika (optional)
  • ½ cup fat-free shredded mozzarella (0 points)
  • 2–3 tbsp grated Parmesan (reduced fat if possible)
  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Slice cabbage into thick “steaks” (about 2–3 cm thick). Keep the core intact so they hold together.
  3. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment.
    Lightly brush or spray with oil (or skip for 0-point base).
  4. Season with:
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Garlic powder
    • Paprika
  5. Roast for 20–25 minutes, until slightly tender and edges start browning.
  6. Remove from oven and top each steak with:
    • Fat-free mozzarella
    • A little Parmesan
  7. Return to oven for 10–15 more minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve warm ✨
