Slow Cooker Braised Cabbage & Bacon

🛒 Ingredients
- 1 large green cabbage, cut into wedges
- 4 slices center-cut bacon (lower fat), chopped
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt (optional)
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
🍳 Instructions
- Cook the bacon first
In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
👉 Remove and set aside (keep a little of the drippings for flavor if you want). - Layer the slow cooker
- Add cabbage wedges
- Sprinkle onions and garlic on top
- Add flavor
Pour in chicken broth + vinegar
Sprinkle paprika, salt, and pepper - Cook low & slow
- LOW: 6–7 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
Until cabbage is super tender and buttery soft
- Finish it off
Sprinkle crispy bacon on top before serving 🙌
