WW Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents (Lightened)

Ingredients (WW Adjusted)
1 lb lean turkey or chicken breakfast sausage (93% lean)
½ cup reduced-fat shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
4 oz reduced-fat cream cheese, softened (instead of 8 oz)
2 cans reduced-fat crescent rolls
Pepper to taste

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll crescent dough out flat and cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make mini crescents.
Brown sausage in a skillet until fully cooked. Drain well and let cool slightly.
In a bowl, mix sausage, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and pepper until well combined.
Spoon a small amount of filling onto the wide end of each crescent piece.
Roll up from the wide end, tucking the filling inside.
Bake for 13–15 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
Cool slightly before serving.
