Slow Cooker Cube Steak & Gravy (Low Point)

🛒 Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 cube steaks (about 4 oz each, trimmed of visible fat)
  • 1 packet onion soup mix (or low-sodium version)
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix (low fat if possible)
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: sliced mushrooms or onions (adds volume, 0 points)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep the slow cooker
    Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Layer the steak
    Place cube steaks in the bottom (you can slightly overlap).
  3. Make the gravy
    In a bowl, whisk together:
    • beef broth
    • cream of mushroom soup
    • onion soup mix
    • gravy mix
    • garlic powder + pepper
  4. Pour & cook
    Pour mixture over steaks.
  5. Slow cook
    • LOW: 6–7 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours
  6. Optional thickening
    If needed, remove lid last 30 min or add a cornstarch slurry (adds minimal points).
