Low-Point Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy
Ingredients (2 servings)
Steak
- 2 lean cube steaks (about 4 oz each)
- ½ cup liquid egg whites
- ½ cup whole-wheat panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper
- Cooking spray
Gravy
- 1 cup fat-free chicken broth
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- ¼ cup 0% Greek yogurt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Pinch salt
Instructions
- Prep the steak
Pound cube steaks slightly to tenderize. - Coat
Dip steaks in egg whites, then coat with panko mixed with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. - Cook
Spray a non-stick pan well with cooking spray.
Cook steaks 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. - Make the gravy
In the same pan add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
Mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold water and stir into the broth until thick. - Make it creamy
Remove from heat and stir in Greek yogurt.
Season with garlic powder, pepper, and salt. - Serve
Pour gravy over the chicken fried steak.

- 3–4 points per serving depending on bread crumbs used.
Tip to make it even lower points
Use crushed cornflakes or Fiber One cereal instead of panko — this can bring it down to 2–3 points.
